Money Checklist0/1
Keep several working payment methods: cash, a bank card and a payment app. The Riksbank's benchmark is around SEK 1,000 in cash per adult, not a requirement. Since 1 July 2026, most physical Visa and Mastercard cards from participating issuers for people over 18 can be used offline with the chip and PIN for essential goods in physical shops, subject to amount limits and without a guarantee at every merchant. The function is intended for data-communication disruptions lasting up to seven days.
